Expert in marine data management with extensive experience in validating, processing, and quality-controlling physical and biogeochemical oceanographic data. She is Deputy Director of the Oceanography Department at OGS, Italy. Since 2006, she has headed the National Oceanographic Data Centre (UNESCO/IOC/IODE node), and since 2009 she has coordinated the European EMODnet Chemistry network. Committed to open science, she contributes to national and international initiatives on FAIR data stewardship, interoperability, and standardisation, developing methods and tools that ensure free and seamless access to validated data and innovative ocean products.
