Leader and coordinator of a research project: Expert technical advice for Fisheries Development Institute (IFOP) in the Fisheries Surveillance Program under the Management Areas Regime and Ecological Monitoring in Territorial User Rights for Fisheries (TURF). In this project, I performed surveys by scientific scuba diving and in the intertidal, collection and sample analysis, data analysis in R, preparation of reports and team meetings, and student tutoring. During this project, we produced scientific publications, thesis projects, and seminar research, and also contributed to public policies.
Co-coordination of an international research project Kelp Ecosystems in Latin America: Pathways to Ecological Resilience NE/S011692/1Funding agency NERC-CONICYT-CONCYTEC: Structure, connectivity, and resilience of an exploited ecosystem: towards sustainable ecosystem-based fisheries management. In this project, I performed surveys by scientific scuba diving, collection and sample analysis, and experimental monitoring. Associated with this project I did my undergraduate thesis. And nowadays I am leading and co-authoring two scientific publications in progress.
Fieldwork assistant in Fondecyt Regular Project #1210216: Exploring movement patterns of coastal reef fishes: insights for management and conservation. During the survey by scuba diving, I performed FID and MAD census, and in the laboratory, I was an assistant in fish tagging procedures.
