I'm currently working on a systematic conservation planning project for a mega diverse and data-poor marine region in Brazil. I'm also working on a project that aims at monitoring and evaluating potential impacts in a marine hotspot impacted by the biggest tail dam disaster in Brazil. For these tasks, I'm responsible for acquiring and processing remote sensing data and georeferenced databases (about fisheries, socioeconomic activities, species distribution, etc), as well as analyzing data collected in situ (such as benthic coverage images, temperature and other oceanographic data)
Skills
Advanced experience with Marxan (algorithm that selects conservation areas); intermediate experience with ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, Coral Net (bethic imaging processing), Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word; basic experience with QGIS. I am also a good communicator and diver.
