• as Project Manager: I was responsible for the marine archaeological pre-investigation of the Fehmarnsund (2023-2024) on behalf of the State Archaeology Department of Schleswig-Holstein (Archäologisches Landesamt Schleswig-Holstein).
• as Offshore Archaeologist (freelancer): archaeological watching brief on survey vessels in the Baltic Sea on UXO campaigns.
• as Maritime Archaeologist: in situ documentation, research and publication of medieval and early modern shipwrecks. Currently, I am dealing with 17-18th century shipwrecks from the North Frisian Wadden Sea. Due to my broad knowledge on diverse shipbuilding traditions throughout the ages, I have the ability to contextualise wrecks internationally far beyond the descriptive level, thereby highligting maritime trade and international relations of the past. 
• as Planning Archaeologist: I identified areas of high archaeological potential through ArcGIS application and database research both on land and under water (the latter as part of the BalticRIM Project). I wrote expert contributions for maritime spatial planners on the strategic environmental assessment level.  
  
• as Project Coordinator: I was responsible for the operational implementation of the BalticRIM Project (2017-2020, http://balticrim.eu) for the State Archaeology Department of Schleswig-Holstein (Archäologisches Landesamt Schleswig-Holstein)
  
• as Scientific Editor: I am the co-editor of the forthcoming international volume "Intertidal Shipwrecks: Management of a Historic Resource in an Unmanageable  Environment" (University Press Florida) and contributed to the publically accessible MaSS-database (https://mass.cultureelerfgoed.nl/) on maritime cultural heritage for the Dutch Heritage Agency (Rijksdienst voor het Cultureel Erfgoed)
• as Conference Organiser of the international conference "Shipwrecks in the Intertidal Zone" (Hamburg 2022): https://intertidal-shipwrecks.de/
• as Advisor for the summer school „Sustainable Ocean Management: Educating Future Ocean Professionals“ (currently applied for at the Erasmus+ KA220 programme).
