Marine ecologist and data scientist with a nerdy enthusiasm for invertebrates and a soft spot for a large, messy dataset in need of wrangling and analysis. Recently completed a PhD at UNSW investigating the impacts of artificial light at night on coastal marine ecosystems, combining field and lab experiments with meta-analysis to understand how a relatively under-studied environmental stressor can impact marine communities. Love coding in R, and recently created my first package - a collection of colour palettes celebrating the nudibranchs and sea slugs of Sydney's coastal waters. Equally comfortable writing and editing, with experience translating complex findings into engaging, accessible content to reach wider audiences. Currently looking for data analyst and research roles in the marine sciences, and always happy to chat about ideas and projects!
