the environmental management and planning of coastal systems and the evaluation
of the effects of human activities and climate change on coastal ecosystems.
My expertise
lies mainly in the area of the biophysical interrelations in coastal systems and the development of
methodologies and tools for the management and conservation of marine ecosystems
and their resources.
Over
the last 20 years, I have been actively researching the marine ecology of
estuarine ecosystems, working with administrations, local communities, and
end-users to develop methodologies and tools to address present and future
opportunities for aquaculture developments.
