My DPhil/PhD research focuses on the global discourse and actor
networks behind climate adaptation for cities which are existentially
threatened by sea-level rise. I wants to know how the future for
these cities is imagined, where those imaginaries come from, how they
are circulated globally, by whom, and with what impacts on policy
outcomes. Theoretically, I draw upon poststructuralism and
Science and Technology studies. My wider research interests include power and domination in
international climate politics, the political economy of climate
politics, computational social science methods, and the interface of
digitalisation and sustainability.
