Before being appointed by IBAMA, my research area was Sociology and the Environment, and I completed my master's degree in Sociology. I was preparing to work in Ethnobiology, more specifically Ethnoecology and Ethnobotany. I then changed my professional direction, working for a federal agency, IBAMA, in the environmental field, as a public servant, as an environmental analyst. I currently work in pollution control.
Skills
I have innate skills that I don't use in my current field, related to spatial intelligence (3D perspective): drawing, modeling, and sculpture.
I have a very good writing ability in my own language.
I have a good ability to adapt when dealing with people from very different cultures, customs, and worldviews, which I find particularly enriching and gives me great pleasure to work with.
I have an overflowing curiosity.
I also have Tourette's Syndrome, associated with two comorbidities: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and Bipolar Disorder, the latter of which I am currently undergoing medication treatment for.

I'm not fluent in English, but I can read without consulting dictionaries. My English wouldn't be enough to attend classes in English unless the classes were subtitled, even if the subtitles were in English.
I'm not fluent in Spanish or Italian, but I can read them with even less difficulty, and I can attend a class in those languages.
