Activities
Currently, I am a master's student in Ecology at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), specializing in benthic ecology with a focus on estuarine environments. My main research involves the development of my dissertation entitled “Macrofaunal diversity in estuaries: evidence for a new model”, a meta-analysis based on a large dataset compiled from scientific literature. The study aims to propose a new conceptual model of benthic macrofauna richness along salinity gradients, challenging the classical Remane model (1934).
My academic activities include conducting systematic literature reviews, data extraction and organization, statistical analyses and data visualization using tools such as R, and the critical interpretation of ecological patterns. I also actively participate in the Benthic Ecology Laboratory (LEB/UFBA), where I previously held a research scholarship. There, I gained experience in field sampling, benthic organism sorting and identification, biological and granulometric data analysis, and technical report writing, all within the context of ecological monitoring projects.
Additionally, I contributed to the organization and publication of the laboratory’s monitoring database in the Brazilian Biodiversity Information System (SiBBr), promoting open access to ecological data and supporting broader scientific collaboration.
This combination of theoretical research and practical experience allows me to approach ecological questions with a comprehensive perspective, aiming to improve our understanding of estuarine biodiversity and its relevance to environmental conservation and sustainable management.
Skills
RStudio, Office, and LibreOffice packages, bibliographic review, onboard

Comment(s)
As a Technological Initiation Fellow, I also participated in the team of benthic organisms of the INCT-BAA (Biodiversity of the Blue Amazon), through literature review,
systematic search, and collaboration in the protocol construction.
