Activities
1. I was a research intern for the Jonaki'r Alo project (a joint initiative of Poralekha and ESA, a Japanese NPO) from February 2022 to July 2023, where I prepared five lesson plans for class one to class five students of Jonakir Alo Primary School, Chittagong, Bangladesh.
2. I worked as a research assistant and PowerPoint presenter for a non-profit organization, Blue Green Foundation Bangladesh, which has been working to spread awareness among people about marine plastic pollution and marine biodiversity conservation since 2017.
I worked at four awareness-raising school programs in Chittagong, Bangladesh, as a volunteer and PowerPoint presenter. I celebrated World Oceans Day 2017, 2018, and 2019 as an active volunteer and took part in beach cleaning programs at Cox's Bazar Sea Beach and Patenga Sea Beach, Chittagong.
I organized two virtual table talks with marine experts from home and abroad on the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 14: Life below Water) and "Reasons for Occurring Excessive Cyclones in the Bay of Bengal" during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
3. Hope Foundation, Bangladesh: There I worked as a fund raiser for winter affected people in the rural area of Chittagong, Bangladesh. We collected 50,000 taka and some sponsors for the programme and did the work successfully.
Research Work:
1. As a Research Assistant in Nijhum Dwip, Bangladesh on 'Fishermen's psychology and small scale fisheries with a researcher of University Da Barcelona in 2018.
2. As a Research Assistant and Interviewer in Chandpur, Bangladesh on ' Hilsha fisheries stakeholders chain and power mapping with of PhD researcher of University of Helsinki, Finland in 2019. I took part in Focused Group Discussion(FGD) and post sampling work.
3. As a Research Assistant and sample collector in Saint Martins island, Bangladesh on ' Fisheries based Ecotourism ' with Dr. Mohammad Muslem Uddin, Assistant Professor of University of Chittagong, Bangladesh in 2019.
We have published a scientific paper on this research work.
