• Mentor and supervise 2-year projects, implemented by 10 early-career researchers (EDGE Fellows) in Latin America, the Caribbean, South-East Asia and Africa, including production of outputs (reports, peer-reviewed articles, policy briefs, etc.), fundraising and project management.
• Develop, update and deliver lectures to meet learning outcomes of a 4-week intensive Conservation Tools training course and a 2-week Leadership course given to early career scientists. These include: Experimental Design and Sampling, Working with Categorical Data, Technology in Conservation, Working with Fisheries, Developing and Delivering Presentations and Scientific Writing for Non-Native English Speakers.
• Line management responsibilities 
• Develop and update  competence framework and syllabi for capacity building in marine conservation and management.
• Supervise third- and four-year projects of master students in UK Universities (RVC, UCL and Imperial College London).
• Project development to increase the programme's impact on marine species and systems. This includes conceptualizing, designing, planning, monitoring and fundraising.
• Development of evaluation frameworks and processes for the programme's operation to assess the impact of projects.
• Communicating scientific, social and conservation outputs of projects and impact on biodiversity conservation and capacity building to various audiences in scientific meetings, invited lectures, short seminars and interviews in the UK and overseas.
• Outreach and public engagement activities with a variety of audiences and stakeholder groups in the UK, Latin America, and Asia.

• Statistics, Data Management and Analysis. Descriptive and inferential statistics (life and social sciences), network analysis, machine learning, modelling, and text and data mining. Proficiency in Python  and R.
  
• Competent  in GIS and Spatial Analysis. Proficiency in ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS online, QGIS, R software environment packages for spatial analysis and GIS (rgdal, maptools, sp, spatstat, etc.), FRAGSTAT and SAGA.
• Proficient in photogrammetry (SfM-based orthomosaics and 3D models), design and communication software and tools: ffmpeg, Huging, MeshLab, VisualSFM, CPCe, Power Point, Publisher, Adobe Illustratorand Photoshop CC, Prezi and Moodle LSM. Competent in WordPress, Joomla, and SilverStripe, Word Processors, Electronic Spreadsheet and editing tools. Proficient in: Microsoft Word, Pages for Mac, Libre Office, Microsoft Excel, Numbers, Google Docs, LaTex, Aegisub and plain text Editors.
• Fieldwork. Over 350 dives using SCUBA, ample sampling experience in both terrestrial and aquatic environments. I have lived in isolated settings for more than twelve consecutive months conducting research that involved physical and mentally demanding tasks.
  
• Over 5 years of experience organizing and implementing international field campaigns for surveys in terrestrial and marine environments.
• Over 10-years’ experience designing and implementing field surveys and experiments in: coral reefs, rocky shores, seagrass, mangrove, soft sediments as well as in fisheries and biological oceanography. In terrestrial environments, I have field experience coordinating surveys to assess reptiles, small mammals and bird biodiversity in tropical forests (Amazon and Borneo) and bushland/savanna (Kenya and Guyana Massif).
