Current work topic: Design of nature-based solutions in equatorial ecosystems to mitigate and adapt to climate change impacts on biodiversity, aquaculture, fisheries and marine ecosystem services.
Academic formation: Marine Biologist by PUCE University (Ecuador), MSc in Aquaculture by ESPOL University (Ecuador), MSc in Technology and Research in Experimental Biomedical Sciences by University of Murcia (Spain); PhD with European Mention by University of Murcia (Spain).
Previous positions: Fisheries and Aquaculture Policy Director at the Ministry of Production, International Commerce, Investments and Fisheries; International Expert for CBHE proposals assessment at European Commission (Belgium); Researcher at Institute of Biology of Development IBDM, CNRS - University Aix-Marseille (France); visitor scholar at the Institute Pasteur of Paris (France); visitor scholar at the University of Cambridge (UK); visitor scientist in ESPOL University (Ecuador); visitor scholar at Kansas State University KSA (US).
Current Position: Research Professor at ULEAM University (Ecuador).
