General Skills and Competencies:
I am part of
GITEC Brazil project team, working in all stages from the preparation of
technical proposals to acting as technical and project manager of the World
Bank, KfW, GIZ, and other multilateral cooperation agencies. My key areas of
expertise are environmental and social impact assessment, disaster risk
management and land use planning, climate change and adaptation, coastal and marine management.
Technical Skills and Competencies:

Experience in environmental and social impact
assessment and diagnoses: More than four years of experience in conducting
impact assessments for Oil and Gas activities in offshore Brazilian basin;
diagnoses and surveys of social and environmental data in various locations in
Bahia (Porto Seguro coast to Salvador) and Maranhão; more recently has analyzed
social and environmental compatibility concerning sustainability standards of
KfW and World Bank ESF (Environmental and social framework) for a KfW study.

Experience in disaster risk management: Two years of experience
in the field of climate change prevention and adaptation in the adequacy of
disaster risk management processes, being responsible for managing the
technical cooperation project, for identifying and qualifying agency demands
and articulating with other federal agencies, state and municipal actors, as
well as civil society. The project “Updating Manuals for National Civil
Protection and Defense” was established to reformulate and adapt the
publications to the new guidelines of the National System of Civil Protection
and Defense (SINPDEC).

- “Science Oceanics, Ocean Governance, and Geoethics” offered by the International Ocean Institute Training Center for Latin America and the Caribbean (120 hours in Spanish) in Valparaíso, Chile.
- “YCL (Youth Climate Leader) Brazil” – Leadership development for the 21dt century (50 hours) online in Rio de Janeiro and immersive in São Paulo – Brazil.
- “The Systems View of Life” taught by Fritjof Capra in Fall 2019.
- Climate Change: Blue Carbon and Adaptation based on Marine and Coastal Ecosystems", offered by OTGA (The Ocean Teacher Global Academy) and organized by UNESCO / IOC / IODE / European Union / MAPCO / Natura Foundation / INVEMAR in July 2020.
- "Nature-based Solutions for Disaster and Climate Resilience", a course developed by experts from the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and PEDRR with support from the European Union, in February 2021.
