Comment(s)
As the Regional Head of the Blue Economy within the Ministry of Fisheries and Blue Economy in Toamasina, I am responsible for coordinating and implementing Blue Economy initiatives at the regional level in alignment with national strategies and sustainable development goals. My role involves multisectoral coordination, policy implementation, and stakeholder engagement across fisheries, aquaculture, maritime transport, and coastal resource management sectors.
I oversee the activities of the Comité Régional Multisectoriel de l’Économie Bleue (CRMEB), facilitating collaboration between government agencies, private sector actors, research institutions, and local communities. I also lead programs promoting sustainable fisheries, marine spatial planning, gender inclusion, and climate resilience in coastal communities.
Additionally, I contribute to the integration of scientific data and environmental monitoring into decision-making processes, ensuring that regional policies support both economic growth and marine ecosystem conservation under Madagascar’s Blue Economy framework.
