Engaged in Research and Teaching of Meteorology and Oceanography to post graduate and Ph. D. students. The courses are atmospheric physics, climate and climate change, Introduction to physical oceanography, physical oceanography and marine environment, air and noise pollution (air pollution meteorology and modeling), marine pollution (physical aspects), remote sensing applications (meteorology and oceanography).
• July 2006-May 2008: Principal Scientific Officer, National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), Government of Pakistan, Karachi.
Active participant of many International and National projects/programs. As a researcher worked on various projects related to Meteorology and Oceanography of the area. Teaching of courses conducted by NIO for professional organizations/naval officers/University students. I was also involved in the matters related to Policy and Planning of R & D Programs/Projects and International Liaison with WMO, IOC, GLOSS, DBCP, SCOR, Antarctic Research etc. I was assigned to look after the matters related to Pakistan Tsunami and Indian Ocean Tsunami programs and participated to prepare proposal of establishment of Tsunami Warning and Mitigation Center for Pakistan and Arabian Sea. I also attended many events and training programs relevant to establishment of Tsunami center and Tsunami Science including Tsunami and Storm Surge simulation/modeling.
• 1998-2002 (On Deputation): Scientist, SAARC Meteorological Research Centre (SMRC), Bangladesh. (Regional Centre of Air-Ocean Climatic Research).
During my stay in SAARC Meteorological Research Centre (SMRC), Dhaka, Bangladesh (a reputed International Research Institute engaged in research activities related to meteorological and ocean sciences), I developed and worked on many research programs on climate change and sea level rise issues facing by south Asian countries.
