Organizer and leader (since 1998) of 2 marine field campaigns to the Emperor Chain of seamounts and 12 international expeditions to the South China Sea. Organizer and Coordinating Leader of the International Vietnam-Russian Laboratory of Marine Biology and Ecology. Organizer and Scientific Leader of the Laboratory of Deep Sea Research (National Centre of Marine Biology FEB RAS). Experienced in delivering outputs of science to the decision-making communities and presently is currently a member of the North Pacific Fisheries Commission (www.npfc.int) .
Skills
Skilled Leading researcher with doctorate in deep-water corals, coral reefs ecology, corals taxonomy, morphology and physiology. Experienced in managing projects from conception to completion and working with a range of scientific disciplines. Long time (25 years’) experience in collaboration in joint projects at international level, including a range of joint field campaigns of the Institute of Marine Biology FEB RAS and Vietnamese Academy of Sciences, organizer and participant. Experienced in delivering outputs of science to the decision-making communities and presently is currently a member of the North Pacific Fisheries Commission (www.npfc.int) .
Experienced as key lecturer in FE Federal University, Russia, with lecturer courses „Marine Ecosystems‟ and “Marine Ecology Modern problems”.
Well skilled in diving for science - professional diving certificate, DOSAAF (Vladivostok, Russia, 1988); PADI certificate (Moscow, Russia, 2008).
