Activities
SATL is a purpose built aquatic testing laboratory carrying out acute and chronic toxicity tests to a variety of test materials – but mainly effluents – using a suite of marine and freshwater species.
The Laboratory has collaborated in a number of national (eg. UCC, DIT, AIT) and international (EA, UK and INETI, Portugal) ecotoxicological research projects.
It is currently collaborating with Marine Institute and Trinity College Dublin on a research project ‘Biological Effects and Chemical Measurements for the Assessment of Pollution in Irish Marine Waters’.
