Activities

INREST's mission is to carry out research activities related to environmental science and occupational health and safety.

INREST'S OBJECTIVES ARE TO:

  • Develop innovative, applied projects that take into account sustainable development concerns.

  • To provide scientific support for decision-making.
  • Measure the impacts on public health and the health and safety of workers in all projects carried out.
  • Preserving water quality, ecosystem health and food resources
  • To make the results of these activities accessible to a wide audience.
  • To encourage the pooling of resources to propose solutions to the challenges posed by northern development.
  • Promote the training of research professionals in the region.
  • Hosting students at university level (projects at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels), and directing research projects for government agencies, private companies, industries, etc.
  • Bringing together researchers working in the fields of environment and/or occupational health.
  • For each project, assemble a team of specialists from the region, universities and research centers.
