Activities

We're changing the narrative: No fearmongering; no big data; no over-simplifications.

To ensure an Ocean positive future, we need millions of people understanding the importance of a healthy Ocean.

We’re endorsed by UNESCO for our Ocean Intelligence approach, which is how we translate complex Ocean science into engaging content. This is integrated into all our work.

Through our Communications, Film and our 3 Youth Engagement programmes - anchored by Science and Storytelling - we Introduce, Educate and and Empower everyone, everywhere to create sustainable change.

OUR YOUTH ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMMES

We run three programmes for 3 - 25 year-olds. They’re UNESCO-endorsed and progress from a toe in the water, for the youngest participants, to a full immersion experience for young adults.

They introduce participants to the wonders of our Ocean, educate about its importance and empower them to take their own environmental action.

Earth Cubs: Ages 3 - 11
A play-based education platform, providing Ocean education to children through gaming. Explore our Ocean environments including the Great Barrier Reef, Tahiti and Antarctica.

Ocean Academy: Ages 5 - 16
An interactive, open-source, curriculum-aligned education hub with lesson plans, videos and resources. We also offer in-person and online sessions to bring the Ocean to the classroom.

Wavemakers: Ages 16-25
Our Wavemaker Programme educates young people about the Ocean and empowers Ocean action. We accelerate social action, facilitate blue careers and grants for eco reporters who are raising a voice for our Ocean.

OUR COMMS: WHERE SCIENCE MEETS STORYTELLING

We combine environmental science with film and popular culture to produce impactful, relatable content that educates and empowers our community.

We challenge the world to see the Ocean differently. It’s more than big and blue; it’s our life support system. We speak up for the Ocean and amplify voices - and stories - that do the same.
