Activities
The Secretariat of the Eötvös Loránd Research Network (ELKH) is an independent budgetary institution established by the Parliament on 1 August 2019, which was established to manage and operate a centrally funded, independent research network, which is the cornerstone of Hungarian scientific life. The chairman of the 13-member independent Governing Body of ELKH and the vast majority of its members are academics, including members of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
Researchers from the ELKH's research network's eleven research centers and seven research institutes, as well as 116 supported research teams at universities and other public institutions, carry out basic and applied research in a wide range of fields in mathematics and natural sciences, the humanities and the social sciences.
