Activities
The IOI-SA coordinates the IOI African Region
(including IOI-Kenya, IOI-Egypt & IOI-Nigeria) from its offices located at
the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens in Cape Town, South Africa.
The
institute has ongoing programs in ocean governance, marine invasive species, marine
pollution & plastics, and small-scale fisheries, each with a focus on
technical support, capacity building and policy development.
The IOI-SA is
comprised of a small but nimble team, and draws from broad expertise within a
network of Associates and partner institutions.
