Activities
Activities of the Department of Geology are spurred by its participation in investigations and research in Applied Geology. Over the past decades, the Department has strived to maintain its multidisciplinary approach towards Earth Sciences by applying the concepts of Geology to solve scientific problems faced by the society. The Department is recognized by UGC-SAP, UGC-DRS, DST-FIST, UGC-CPESS. The Department maintains ties with well-known organizations such as the Geological Survey of India, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, National Geophysical Research Institute, Central Ground Water Board, ISRO, UNESCO,BSIP, PRL, CESS, the Directorate of Geology and Mining, and the universities and other research institutions.
