Throughout my career I´ve tried to combined the exploration of theoretical approaches and their applications with direct contact with humans and their activities. In this same sense, I been working on ecotrophic modelling of sandy beaches to improve knowledge about the influence of management measures on the structure and functioning of these ecosystems. In addition, I am developing my doctoral thesis on Urban Beach Ecology, where I work on the development of a quantitative framework for evaluating the impact of urbanization on ecosystem services provided by urban beaches.
