Activities
For more than 15 years I have worked in outreach projects bringing the results of scientific research to all audiences. This has involved the design and implementation of different instruments for science communication, as well as for the development of skills and attitudes favorable to scientific and technological development in children and the general public. With a recent postgraduate training in education I am developing projects to evaluate and systematize actions and educational tools. Since my initial and postgraduate training in marine sciences I have developed research and courses in the area of marine biology leading to several scientific publications. In this last time I have focused my efforts in the installation of a new curriculum for the marine biology career and the didactic design of initial training courses, being since 2023 Head of the Marine Biology career at the Universidad Católica del Norte (Chile).
