- Invasive species management in the Mediterranean: Rugulopteryx okamurae. Local and national strategies to control the spread of the asiatic invasive seaweed. Laboratory and fieldwork experiments to study the impact of this species in the local marine biodiversity (flora and fauna). Modeling to predict the spread of this species with the increase of water temperature and heatwaves. Study sites: Cádiz (Spain), Málaga (Spain), Granada (Spain).
- Seagrass restoration in the Mediterranean and North Atlantic Ocean. Zostera marina, Nanozostera noltei, Cymodocea nodosa, and Posidonia oceanica are marine vascular plants that are facing a degradation related to human pressures and global climate change. Study sites: Ireland, Spain, Morocco.
