Activities
1)Monitoring the health of coral ecosystems:
1.1) Conduct scientific diving to assess coral coverage and condition, with a special emphasis on Acropora palmata and A. cervicornis species.
1.2) Record data on marine species diversity and key environmental factors.
2)Identification and mapping of threats:
2.1) Conduct an environmental assessment to identify the main threats affecting coral ecosystems in the coastal-marine zone.
2.2) Map areas with the highest impact and presence of stressors.
3)Environmental education:
3.1) Provide training on the importance of acroporid coral conservation.
3.2) Distribute educational and promotional materials within the local community.
4)Promotion of management and conservation measures:
4.1) Hold forums with environmental authorities on reporting and monitoring routes for the protection of coral ecosystems.
4.2) Implement conservation actions involving direct community participation, such as beach cleanup campaigns and the promotion of community coral nurseries.
