Activities
My research interests include fish population
dynamics, life history evolution, and the impact of human activities like
habitat changes and climate shifts on crucial life history traits.
I currently work in
fish stock assessment, managing huge databases, and applying Bayesian and other modelling
techniques to provide insights into key fisheries in Uruguay (Merluccius
hubbsi, Micropogonias furnieri, Cynoscion guatucupa). I also participate in binational
working groups conducted by the CTMFM (Uruguay-Argentina Bi-National Commission
of the Maritime Front). Due to confidentiality constraints, I have been
unable to publish evaluation outcomes in peer-reviewed journals. I have
also contributed to FAO workshops on SOFIA Analysis for Area 41 and participated in the First and Second International Scientific
Workshop on stock assessment and management of the Argentine Shortfin Squid.
