I am actively engaged in;
- Fish Stock Assessment through Frame and Catch Assessment Surveys, Bottom Trawl Surveys, Hydro-Acoustics Surveys through use of
120 kHz transducer and EK80 software.
- Fish Biology and Ecology studies such as gillnetting, small seining experiments, and Electrofishing. This includes collection of fish samples and processing of the specimen in the laboratory
- Hydrographic studies which involve use of a single beam eco-sounder integrated with the Ceescope hydrosystems and Hydromagic acquisition software to collect bathymetric data.
- Application of Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing where i have participated in mapping fish breeding and nursery areas, distribution of fishing crafts, use of sentinel 2 imagery in delineating accurate and high resolution lake shorelines, islands and wetlands, use of digital elevation models to delineate watersheds, catchment area, and channels.
