I am an Assistant Professor (at present in the stage-III) at K. Banerjee Centre of Atmospheric and Ocean Studies (KBCAOS), University of Allahabad, Prayagraj since 29 October, 2009 and a Proud Past Alumni (2008) of the Allahabad University Alumni Association, University of Allahabad (Registration number 407/2000, under the society act 1860). Also, I have been 1st batch Research Assistant/JRF/SRF at KBCAOS, University of Allahabad (since 11 September, 2001 to 26 October, 2007), where I was awarded 1st D. Phil from KBCAOS on 18/11 September, 2007 (10 March, 2007). I was awarded a Post Doctoral position (Project Associate) at Centre of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (CAOS), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore from 27 October 2007 to 28 October 2009. At the same time I awarded an Institute Research Associate position at Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) Pune in October 2007. And also was offered a Junior Research Fellow position in the first batch of the National Centre of Antarctic and Ocean Research (NCOR and now NCPOR), Goa in 2001.

Skills
My basic research is based on Atmospheric, Ocean and Climate Modelling using POM, HYCOM, ROMS and RAM, RegCM models. My area of Research is the Dynamics of Indo-Pacific Ocean and convective system modelling in the Tropical Region and extreme events in Indian Monsoon rainfall. During my PhD I simulated the Indonesian throughflow (ITF) using the POM model and described the changes in the Indian Ocean dynamics after closing the ITF artificially using the model output. I worked also on data assimilation and compared GODAS data with the real time data of the RAMA mooring. I focused our ITF study under the HYCOM model simulated data and get finer results. We also focused on the changing relationship of ENSO-IOD on Indian Summer Monsoon rainfall system. And also simulated the Indian Summer Monsoon Rainfall using RegCM and find the interesting results. We have done temperature extreme studies over India using the this model data of this validated model output We successfully coupled the ROMS and RAMS model in our laboratory and simulated the Mora Cyclone using this model. We have successfully completed three major projects of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), University Grant Commission (UGC) and Ministry of Earth System Siences (MoES) and at present two projects from the agencies MoES and DST (Climate Change) are in on going stage. I have guided near about one dozen master degree students till date and guiding 5 research degree students in which one is going to submit the thesis in the near future.
