Most of my work involves working with biodiversity datasets, and then integrating them with existing open access global environmental datasets so others could utilize them for research. I use statistics (spatial/non-spatial), simulation algorithms, species distribution models to answer management, conservation, biodiversity decline and climate change related research questions. Other research areas I worked in the past include marine conservation, habitat mapping, coastal zone management, aquaculture technology, supply chain management, environmental monitoring, life cycle assessment, bathymetric survey, decision support tools and 3D data visualizations.

I am a spatial ecologist, my research is primarily focused on mapping species biodiversity or abundance at regional and global scale for conservation and management. I frequently utilize Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing tools to analyze species distribution and synthesize environmental data collected from marine & freshwater environment.
