Collect, analyze and report fisheries statistics of tuna and tuna-like fishery both artisanal and industrial. Coordinates tuna and tunalike fisheries-related research activities under the sponsorship of Deep Sea Fishing Authority. Furthermore, I coordinate the implementation of the Tuna Management Strategy in Tanzania which is being implemented by government and non-governmental organizations. In the implementation of the strategy, various activities are being conducted such formulation of Beach Management Units and marine mapping for the identification of fishing and spawning areas.
