Activities
I am an environmental ecologist PhD with expertise in assessing ecological responses of marine invertebrates and coastal ecosystems to ocean acidification, warming and microplastic pollution in situ and laboratory. I have experience in deep-sea meiobenthos. I currently work with the use of eDNA as a tool for monitoring and creation of new MPAs in the tropics. Also, I have managed projects for private and public companies and have created sampling protocols for the hydrocarbon sector offshore for the analysis of environmental significance of macro and meiofauna on a broad scale. In addition, I have participated and generated public outreach and community engagement projects as well as an extensive teaching experience with college, undergraduate and postgraduate students.
