Skills
I am a
fisheries scientist and a lecturer at University of Dar es Salaam, interested
with management and conservation of marine resources. Previously I had worked
at local government doing fisheries and aquaculture extension together with
Fishery policy, Regulations, and sustainable fishery advising and implementation.
I have been engaged with research on fish ponds fertilization and analysis of
Local governance for mangroves forests conservation for P.E.S in Tanzania. I
have a strong education background with a BSc. in Aquaculture, MSc in Marine
sciences (specialized in conservation of coastal and marine resources) and a
PhD (in Marine ecology) from at Department of Ecology and Environmental
sciences (DEEP), Stockholm University. My research focused on investigation of fish larvae populations in nearshore tropical aquatic
vegetations
(mangrove-seagrass seascapes) in relation
with food availability (i.e. zooplankton) and water physio-chemical variables
in those areas.
