Activities

1. Control of unwanted marine species. Two areas are emphasized: (i) Control of biofouling on a variety of surfaces, and (ii) Treatment of ballast water to prevent the introduction of potentially invasive species. 2. Ecology, life history and physiology of dinoflagellates. My interest is on the detection/quantification of Harmful Algal Blooms (HAB) species to help understand the relationship between the population dynamics of toxin producers and shellfish contamination.
