Benthic community ecology and ecosystem functioning. In particular seagrass ecosystems with special emphasis on plant-animal interactions at plant to landscape scales. Currently working on the EU funded ELME project(European Lifestyles and Marine Ecosystem) identifying and collating data on large scale "state change" in terms of marine habitat and species loss.
