My research focuses on the application of organic markers to investigate the sources, transport, deposition, and preservation of organic matter in marine environments. I am currently an MSc student at the Institute of Oceanography, University of São Paulo (IO-USP), and a member of the Marine Organic Chemistry Laboratory (LabQOM). My research investigates the distribution of organic compounds in surface sediments from the Amazon Margin, comparing areas under different fluvial and marine influences. By integrating concepts from marine biogeochemistry, chemical oceanography, and sediment geochemistry, I seek to understand the environmental, hydrodynamic, and biogeochemical processes that control organic matter dynamics and influence the composition and distribution of organic compounds. Through the analysis of organic markers, my work contributes to the identification of organic matter sources and to the understanding of the processes that influence its transport, deposition, and preservation across interconnected coastal and marine ecosystems, including estuaries, mangroves, and continental shelf environments.

Oceanographer graduated from the Institute of Oceanography of the University of São Paulo (IO-USP), with experience in Chemical Oceanography and Marine Biogeochemistry. Currently pursuing a Master's degree at IO-USP and working at the Marine Organic Chemistry Laboratory (LabQOM-IOUSP), conducting research on organic markers to investigate organic matter dynamics in marine environments.
