My current research activities integrate field logistics with active scientific monitoring, with a strong focus on Wildlife Ecology, Conservation Biology, and Environmental Toxicology. I contribute directly to systematic population monitoring through monthly censuses and nocturnal assessments of the reproductive success of Frigatebird (Fregata magnificens) and Brown Booby (Sula leucogaster) colonies, generating essential demographic data to evaluate population trends and colony health. In support of ecotoxicological studies, I conduct monthly collections of blood and feather samples from these seabirds, which are analyzed by specialized laboratories at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) for contaminant detection. I also assist a veterinarian with monthly fecal and blood sampling and perform opportunistic regurgitate collections that contribute to dietary and trophic ecology research conducted at UFRJ. In parallel with these scientific activities, I oversee the operational logistics that support field campaigns, including the management and maintenance of field equipment, coordination of boat schedules for island access, organization of life insurance for the research team, and procurement of materials required to ensure safe and efficient field operations.

My experience includes population and reproductive monitoring of seabirds, biological sample collection, ecotoxicology support, wildlife rehabilitation, and marine fauna rescue. I am also skilled in field logistics coordination, environmental data management, offshore environmental monitoring, and multidisciplinary teamwork in remote and challenging environments. Additionally, I have experience with environmental education, scientific communication, project management, passive acoustic monitoring of marine mammals, bird banding support, and conservation-oriented research focused on marine and coastal ecosystems.
