This document is prepared in response to IOC Decision A-33/4.6. The Joint WMO-IOC Collaborative Board (JCB) was requested to report on progress in the four work areas (identified at the third session of the Joint WMO-IOC Collaborative Board (JCB-3), September 2024). The JCB was also requested to provide recommendations on the four work areas and future governance arrangements, including the quadrennial WMO-IOC collaborative strategy, based on the results from a questionnaire issued to IOC Member States and WMO Members in 2025 (IOC/INF-1554).

Purpose of the document: This document provides an update of the work of the JCB and recommendations as requested by IOC Decision A-33/4.6.

The JCB proposes to revise its Terms of Reference (ToR). The updated ToR will be presented for approval at the 34th session of the IOC Assembly in 2027
